Peer review policy
Every submission is assessed on its scholarly merit and its value to psychiatric nursing practice in India.
Submissions are first checked by the editorial office for scope, completeness and similarity.
Manuscripts that pass this check are sent to at least two independent reviewers in a double-blind process, so authors and reviewers are not identified to each other.
Reviewers comment on originality, methods, analysis, ethics, clarity and relevance, and recommend acceptance, revision or rejection.
The Editor-in-Chief takes the final decision and communicates it with the reviewers' comments.
Authors are usually given four weeks to return a revised manuscript with a point-by-point response.
Accepted articles are copy-edited and proofs are shared with the corresponding author before publication.
