Teerthanker Mahaveer University

The Teerthanker Mahaveer University was established by an ‘Act’ (No. 30) of 2008 of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and was approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), since inception in 2008, vide letter No. F. 9-31/2008(CPP-1) dated October, 2008. The University is located on National Highway-24, 144 Km from New Delhi. The University stands committed to the ideals of Lord Mahaveer – Right Philosophy, Right Knowledge, and Right Conduct in all the spheres of activity and aspires to be recognized as the ultimate destination for world class education. The multi-disciplinary University offers career oriented programmes at all levels i.e. UG, PG and Doctoral degrees across diverse streams, namely, Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Nursing, Paramedical Sciences, Physiotherapy, Hospital Administration, Physical Education, Management, Engineering, Architecture, Polytechnic, Law, Journalism, Fine Arts, Jain Studies, and Agriculture to meet rising aspirations of the youth.

Teerthanker Mahaveer College of Nursing

The College of Nursing, established in year 2009, offers diploma, graduate & post graduates programmes in nursing to meet the diverse needs of the health care sector. All programmes are recognized by both Indian Nursing Council and UP Nurses & Midwives Council. Hands-on-training is given to the students at the 1100-bed multi super-specialty hospital at the University Medical College, as well as in allied urban and rural health centres. The College of Nursing has a magnificent building with spacious class rooms, labs & library. The library is well equipped with latest books in nursing, regular supply of foreign & Indian journals, access to Internet & E-journals along with magazines &news papers. There is free wi-fi facility for all the students in the college campus. Recently college has been equipped with Simulation skill lab with various simulators to provide Hands-on–Practice on critical nursing skills. The simulation lab provides an opportunity for the students to have most advanced learning technology. The College of Nursing is also inceptor of an authorized International Training Centre (ITC) in collaboration with GHPL (Medanta the Medicity) for the American Heart Association with initiatives aimed at training health care fraternity on Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
